Hyngun Cho from Gwang-Joo (South Korea *1986) began at the age of 15 years to play Classical Cello. His path led him to the Berlin University of the Arts, where he studied with Markus Möllenbeck baroque cello and received chamber music lessons with Prof. Mitzi Meyerson. From 2011 to 2013. He continued his studies at the Escola Superior de Música de Catalunya in Barcelona with Prof. Bruno Cocset and deepened his knowledge in the ensemble with Prof. Pedro Memelsdorff. In addition to the solo music is Hyngun Cho committed for various ensembles and played among others in the ensemble "La Prosperina", with whom he won the Award for Early Music and the Audience Award in Saarbrücken in of 2010. With Ensemble ‘Matis' he won in 2013 at the International Telemann Competition for Chamber Music Ensemble 2nd prize. In addition, he was awarded as a Solist, 3rd prize at the International Competition Musica Antiqua Bruges 2014.

Später studierte er Violoncello in der Klasse von Prof. Myung-wha Chung an der Korean National University of Arts. Sein Weg führte ihn nach Berlin an die Universität der Künste, wo er mit Markus Möllenbeck Barockcello studierte und Kammermusikunterricht bei Prof. Mitzi Meyerson erhielt. Von 2011 bis 2013 setzte er sein Studium an der Escola Superior de Música de Catalunya in Barcelona mit Prof. Bruno Cocset fort und vertiefte seine Kenntnisse im Ensemblespiel mit Prof. Pedro Memelsdorff. Neben der Solomusik engagiert sich Hyngun Cho für verschiedene Ensembles und spielte unter anderem im Ensemble ''La Prosperina'', mit dem er im Jahr 2010 den Förderpreis für Alte Musik sowie den Publikumspreis in Saarbrücken gewann. Das Ensemble ''La Prosperina'' wurde im folgenden Jahr zur ''Rheinsberger Hofkapelle'' erwählt.Mit dem Ensemble MatÃs gewann er im März 2013 am internationalen Telemann-Wettbewerb für Kammermusikensemble den 2. Preis. Zurzeit studiert er mit Prof. Bruno Cocset an der Haute école de musique de Genève.
